- Curator's comments
- 2016 National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage catalogue entries:
'This celadon cup has a round body, a slightly curved mouth, and a short foot. The entire surface was originally coated with transparent, grayish-blue glaze, but it displays a turbid color with crackles due to oxidization. The interior is stamped with a ruyi design, a curved motif symbolizing the head of ceremonial Buddhist scepter, while its outer surface exhibits a simplified lotus design inlaid in black and white.'
