- Curator's comments
- 2016 National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage catalogue entries:
'This wooden funerary figurine, called “ggokdu”, was fixed on a decorative bier that lead the deceased on the last journey. Riding on a tiger’s back, wearing a red hat and holding a bat in his hands, the man is a representation of the messenger of death from the underworld. His legs are movable and his torso is detachable.'
