Lingam-cover. Brass cast, beaten and engraved ekamukhalingam cover, the head of Śiva is protected by two nagas. A third naga swims up the channel of the yoni. Śiva is wearing 'rudraksha' beads around his neck, while across his forehead and divided by his third, vertical eye, are the three distinguishing stripes of Śiva worship.

This example is modelled on one in use at a shrine on the 'ghats' at Mathura close to Vrindaban, where the metalsmith's workshop is located.
