Hillier and Smith 1980
This is a set of volumes privately printed for the Hommachi 'kyoka' society of Edo. The landscapes of Gakutei are remarkable for their manneristic treatment and the subtle use of the colour-print medium, and this volume is much the finest. The 'hashira' gives a stylised form of the character which is the 'mon' of the poetry club commissioning the book.
