Each page of this rare, though incomplete book shows the seasonal amusements of fashionably dressed townspeople; here admiring the brilliant foliage of maples in autumn. The hand-colouring was added later. (Label copy, TTC, 1998)

Hillier and Smith 1980
The finest of Sugimura's non-erotic 'ehon', its black and white brilliance unhappily lessened by crude hand-colouring. One other copy is known, in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. It is in scroll form with a similar MS title. Like this copy it is incomplete, but the two together appear to make a complete book, less any preface there may have been.
