Large porcelain with underglaze blue decoration. This large bowl has rounded sides and stands on a broad foot ring. Inside it is decorated in the centre with a fruiting lychee branch in a central double-ring medallion and with sprays of flowers arranged in six bunches in the cavetto. Each different bunch comprises two blooms, including lotus, peony, pomegranate, chrysanthemum and again peony and chrysanthemum. The inner rim carries a band of classic scroll and the outer rim lingzhi scroll. Outside it is painted with peonies shown in bud and in full bloom. The base is unglazed.

- Harrison-Hall 2001:
A bowl of identical form with a similar layout of motifs but with different flowers was excavated in 1994 from the Yongle stratum at Dongmentou, Zhushan, Jingdezhen.
