- Curator's comments
- Cameron, A:
A noteworthy inclusion to this work is the emotional facial expression of the attendant in the foreground, whose turban has fallen to the wayside in the confusion. In contrast to the normally placid expressions of figures in both mythological imagery and portraits, the unnamed artist here has allowed the attendant an emotive response to the events witnessed.
