- Description
-
This small porcelain wine cup has sides which flare out to the rim and stands on a foot ring. It is decorated in doucai style with bamboo and fruiting grape vines. The base carries an underglaze blue six character Chenghua kaishu reign mark in a double square. Tiny variations in dimensions and painting with 1943.02-15.15 reflect the fact that it was handmade. The enamelling is also much coarser and paler.
