The statuesque Nakagawa shows in Eishi's portrayal the most extreme elongation of all 'Ukiyoe' figures, the body eight times the head, which is further extended by the high hair-style. As if to emphasise the length, the two apprentices study a lengthy love-letter to their mistress. The print's title-cartouche refers to the new premises just opened by Nakagawa's House of Matsubaya. The signature is 'Painted by Eishi for fun'.
