Scene 1 from Act XI of Chushingura, the Loyal Retainers crossing Ryogoku Bridge to close in on the mansion of their enemy Ko no Moronao, two retainers in the foreground unloading equipment for the attack, all disquised as firemen wearing robes with a distinctive pattern of interlocking black-and-white triangles.
