- Description

Gold arm-band, hollow with hinges below and connected at the front and the back. It has been made using the repousse technique and is decorated with a central kirttimukha mask and yali figures at the side. These are surrounded by swirling vegetal and animal motifs. It is set with emeralds and garnets and is richly chased.

- Given to the donor's great aunt by an Indian princess a century ago (ca.1820). It was then seemingly purchased by Dr Prior at the Natural History Museum (Acquisitions Register in the Department of Prehistory and Europe).
