Description
Colour woodblock print, oban diptych. The kabuki actors (right) Kataoka Nizaemon VII as Kudo Saemon Suketsune and Segawa Kikunojo V as Princess Maizuru, daughter of Wada (‘Wada sokujo Maizuruhime’), in the play ‘Mitsu ireko Soga no kaomise’ by Tsuruya Nanboku IV; performed at the Kawarasaki-za in the 1st month of Bunsei 9 [1826].
