- Red 'Motonobu' seal in tripod vessel. Based on a painting of Tekkai by **. Although the manner of depiction is somewhat conventionalised, the sense of movement and volume to the figure show that this is not just a formalised copy -- the artist has also imbued it with his own personal interpretation of the ink painting tradition. Not an 18th century work; probably no later than the 17th century. (Kawai Masatomo, 4/1999)
Seal of Motonobu. 17th century interpretation of Muromachi painting. (Kawai, 8/2008)
