- Hikosaburo returned to Edo in the 11th month of 1806 after spending three years in Kamigata. In that month he appeared at the Ichimura-za together with Koshiro. Therefore this print could not date from before the 11th month, 1806. Throughout most of 1807 Hikosaburo and Koshiro continued to appear together at the Ichimura-za, but in the 11th month of 1807 Hikosaburo moved to the Nakamura-za.
