Curator's comments
Smith 1988 The left and centre prints of the original three. The tea-house called Kacho (Flowers and Birds) became very popular at this time because of its exotic caged birds. The hostesses are seen parading with a young boy who carries birds in cages. The signature is 'Painted by Toyokuni'.
