- Description
-
Fragment of the right-hand end of a stupa drum panel showing nāgas. From right to left: a nāga with a crested turban, a collar and earrings, and with his serpent attribute rearing out of his back, takes flowers with his right hand from a loop of his uttarīya suspended across the body by the other hand at the shoulder. Beside him are vestiges of a nāgī wearing an anklet and a serpent with transverse grooves on the underside rising behind her head; on the left is a vestige of a similar serpent, doubtless over another head.
