E. Errington: Two more ivory notched cylindrical disc beads of identical type were found strung together with amber and lapis lazuli beads as IM.Metal.129/India Museum no.6 (see 1880.3975.c), probably from Wardak Stupa 1, Another in 'Box 7' South Kensington Museum no.1115/India Museum no.23, was mixed, like this example, with material from Bimaran Stupa 2 (see 1880.3851.b, h), but Masson does not include any notched ivory beads in his documentation of the finds from the site. No.1052 is listed in the South Kensington Museum register as coins from Chahar Bagh Stupa 4, and beads (site not specified). No beads are recorded from the last site, although 'beads of crystal &c.' were found in the neighbouring Chahar Bagh Stupa 6 (MSS Eur. E161/VII, f.5). For further discussion, see 1880.3975.c.
