Watercolour painting on paper of Ashtavakra, a Hindu sage. He is shown wearing a white loincloth and a string of beads around his neck. He holds a walking stick in his left hand and a string of beads in his right. Over his left shoulders is a cloth bag. He is shown standing in a flat landscape with trees in the distance. His legs, arms and torso are bent indicating that Ashtavakra was born with eight defects in his legs, arms, torso, feet and head. The painting is surrounded by a black border.
