Copper alloy mount in the form of a stag, once mounted onto iron ring 1939,1010.205.b, which was affixed to the terminal of whetstone or sceptre 1939,1010.160. The stag is modelled naturalistically in the round, with two ears and a pair of antlers, each with tines (some damaged), on top of the head. Both forelegs and hindlegs are modelled together, forelegs straight and hindlegs slightly bent.
