Three joined sherds of black-figure amphora showing Herakles strangling Nemean lion. Heracles to right, nude; the lion's left hind-leg is pressed against Heracles' left leg; the heads of both are lost. Purple on mane of lion. White as narrow stripe along its belly. The painting, but not the incision, of the fore-paw has been omitted.
