Description
Fifty-three playing-cards which were found together in about 1750 behind some wainscoating in a house at Cambridge undergoing repairs. F.50 contains the following 34 cards: the ace, 2, 4-10, knave and queen of hearts; the ace, 2, 5, 7, 9, 10, queen and king of diamonds; the 2-7 and 9 of clubs; and the ace, 3, 5, 7-10 and knave of spades. F.51 contains the following 15 cards: the ace, 2, 4, 5, 9 and 10 of hearts; the 5, 7, queen and king of diamonds; the 4 and 6 of clubs; and the ace, 3 and 7 of spades.
