Wild Goat style pottery amphora from East Greece; ovoid body on a raised solid base; wide cylindrical neck with a flat, everted rim; pair of opposing double-rib handles from shoulder to below rim; buff clay and similar slip, decorated with red-brown and white paint: bands on the lower body, junction of neck and body and on rim; a guilloche pattern with white infill on the neck; on the shoulder on each side is a large leaping he-goat painted in silhouette, with the face in outline; long elongated body with rear end in the air; his head faces backwards; spirals an dots in the field around the animal; slip and paint very worn in places, especially the lower part of the vase: one of the goat figures is poorly preserved.
