Large pottery hydria or water jug in White Painted ware; wheel-made; ovoid body on a substantial ring base; short wide neck with a flaring, thick, square-profiled rim; single strap handle from shoulder to neck with a pair of opposing loop handles; pink-buff clay and similar slip, decorated with black paint: bands of parallel lines on the body below the handle and on the shoulder, single bands on the shoulder and neck (the one below the mouth is jagged); solid handles with a roughly painted double loop below the strap handle; restored from fragments and surface damaged in places.
