Trompe l'oeil composition on the theme of financial 'bubbles', representing an overlapping collection of satirical prints, a playing card and an edition of the London Gazette dated the week of August 16th, 1720, lying on a print of a ship and another of a naked boy blowing bubbles at bottom r; the satirical prints illustrate various European bubbles, one Dutch, one showing the Mint Coffee House in Southwark, two showing the Stock Exchange, and one showing Quinquempoix Street in Paris. 1720 Hand-coloured etching with engraving
