Adire. Single width of machine plain woven cotton starch-resist dyed using indigo. The maker has created a series of stacked ‘M’ shapes that are grid patterned across the weft of the cloth. There are also five animal figures which appear to be birds four of which are gathered towards the bottom of the cloth.
