Pottery deep bowl on a pedestal stem; wheel-made, straight-sided body with a horizontal moulding around the middle defining two registers; thick stem with moulded rim on a splaying foot; opposing vertical loop-handles; cream-buff clay and drab slip, decorated in black and red paint: above on each side of the vase are panels defined by vertical parallel lines with geometrical ornament (diagonals with superimposed circles, chevrons, and circles); below are elaborate stylised lotus flowers and a concentric lozenge within a panel of vertical parallel lines; bands on the stem and in the interior.
