Quillon dagger with a straight, double-edged, hollow ground blade of diamond section inlaid on the inside with a maker's mark in brass. The grip is missing but the guard comprises a single block with two forward-curved quillons moulded with reeding on the outside and a loop-guard decorated in the same way and filled with a fretted panel. The pommel is cylindrical and fluted. The blade has traces of the characteristic black patina associated with finds from the River Thames.
