Musical instrument; ivory horn carved throughout with geometric and figurative scenes in low relief. Rectangular mouthpiece towards tip of horn on convex side of tusk. Key motifs from base upwards include: armillary sphere framed by the characteristic Benin 'step' design; long-haired European man in profile blowing a long horn; Portuguese coat of arms. The tip of the horn is decorated with a band of interlocking lozenges. Tip and base of horn are damaged.
