Red figured pottery column krater depicting, A: On the right is a maenad facing to the left and holding out a wreath in right hand to a youth, who retreats to the left looking back, the youth is nude and holds out a branch in his right hand and a phiale ornamented with dots and containing fruit in his left hand, the maenad has a thyrsos in left hand with a white taenia attached, between them is a branch and above a bunch of grapes and a rosette; B: Two ephebi confronted with a tendril between them and above a pair of halteres, the one on the right has a staff; marked with palmettes on the top of the handles, panels with ivy on the neck, a wave pattern around the lip and underneath the lip an ivy wreath.
