Red figured pottery nestoris with two rows of scenes on both sides depicting, A1: The coming of Paris to Helen: in the centre is Paris facing to the right with a spear in his left hand and his right hand extended to a female attendant of Helen 's who confronts him, on the right is Helen seated facing to the left on a four legged stool and a large bordered veil over her head, behind her is a female attendant holding a parasol over her, on the left is Aeneas ? on horseback facing to the right with a spear or staff in his left hand; A2: Helen brought to Priam: on the left is Priam seated on a four legged stool towards the right and with a sceptre in his right hand, facing him is Paris with a spear in his left and he extends his right hand to Priam as if introducing Helen who stands behind him, Helen extends her left hand, on the right is a youth facing to the left with a spear in his left hand; noted in the catalogue that others have interpreted this scene as representing Antigane brought before Creon; B1: Combat of four youthful warriors in two groups: on the left is one warrior kneeling and looking back towards the right at his adversary, the adversary advances to the left with a spear brandished in his right hand and a shield on his left arm, on the right is a warrior with a crested visored helmet in combat with a horseman charging to the left, the horseman is about to hurl a stone from his right hand; this design is restored; B2: Cosmos: on the left is a female figure moving to the left and playing a double flute, next is a youth moving to the right and looking back with a situla in his right hand and a taenia in his left, next a youth and a female figure with their arms around each other's necks running to the left, the youth is slightly in advance and has his right hand extended; marked above each design with a tongue pattern and egg moulding, between and below each design with maeander and squares, inside the lip with an ivy wreath and on the outside of the lip with a laurel wreath; injured and reconstructed.
