The dish has a deep cavetto rising to a flattened narrow rim with a painted bracket-lobed border, supported on a low cut-down foot-ring with a central unglazed spot to the base. It is painted in tones of cobalt blue, pale green and manganese outlined in greenish black with a central bracket. Lobed medallion enclosing a composite lotus and rosette scroll issuing from a plumose foliate tuft with cloud-band appendages. The rim has a wave and rock scroll with green triglyphs and the cavetto features clasped bunches of flowers repeated on the back. Labels: LV 88 (?200); and 38 (Godman): now both removed.
