Description
Altar (miniature), made of wood, in the form of an ofrenda (table with offerings); table made of wood with two shelves, lower shelf and legs painted beige, upper shelf painted white on top, decorated with orange paper cut out with chisels; two arches over table, wrapped in orange tissue paper, decorated with silver paper flowers and dried flowers; at centre back of table is wooden cross with papier mâché Jesus; papier mâché candlesticks with wax candles and paper flames flank crucifix; surrounding crucifix on table, made of papier mâché, are two skulls, two slices of watermelon, cup, bowl with food inside, corn, asparagus, bananas and three Day of the Dead breads. Used in Day of the Dead Festival.
