Text from Read & Dalton 1899: Ivory spoon with broad pear-shaped bowl, curved at the upper end. The handle is in the form of a figure of a European standing with his two hands on the handle of his sword, which hangs from a baldric at his left side. He has straight hair, and wears a round “cap” which has had a plume in the middle; a jacket reaching to the thighs, and knee breeches, his feet are bare.
