COMPASS Title: Women's and girls' jewellery. Group of Middle Iron Age jewellery, 400-100 BC. The long string of blue and white glass beads is from Cowlam, Humberside (1879,1209.536). The wheel-headed brooch inside the necklace is from Harboro' Cave, Derbyshire (1951,1102.1). The copper alloy brooch next to the string of beads is from a grave at Argam Lane cemetery, East Riding of Yorkshire (1978,1202.14). The iron brooch in the corner is from Makeshift cemetery, East Riding of Yorkshire (1991,1001.3). The coiled copper alloy ring is from Spetisbury, Dorset (1892,0901.1468). The V-shaped silver finger ring is from Park Brow, West Sussex (1926,0313.12). The copper alloy bracelet displayed singly is from a grave at Argam Lane cemetery, East Riding of Yorkshire (1978,1202.16). The ribbed copper alloy bracelet at the bottom of the stacked pair is from a grave at Arras, East Riding of Yorkshire (1880,0802.137). The copper alloy bracelet decorated with coral 'eyes', on top of the ribbed example is from a grave at Argam Lane cemetery, East Riding of Yorkshire (1978,1202.20).
