Shelf clock; eight-day 'waggon' spring-driven movement with machine stamped plates and wheels; going train with recoil escapement mounted on front-plate; striking train with count-wheel for hours only; each great wheel has small diameter barrel with gut line attached; the two lines are then tied, one to each end of spring in base; as winding proceeds, leaves of spring are pulled from their relaxed straight line into the wound curve; painted dial; pine case veneered with mahogany; glass with painted decoration.
