Jug; tin-glazed earthenware; globular with a long squat neck and flared foot; painted in colours (blue, green and yellow ochre) with Samson (Sampson) and the Lion in an oval reserve and with Chinese symbols in blue copied from Ming porcelain in eight panels on the body either side of the handle; initials on the neck and near the handle.
