Description
A woman's wool apron; made of one piece of black fabric with multicoloured bands. Twill woven, with groups of fine bands, worked in white, yellow, red, blue, pink, green and black wool yarns. The lowest band is nearly double the width. A thin 'chain' pattern, in pink and white, separates the widest band from the raw edge, where the blue (warp) fringe is visible. The top edge is also raw; the apron ties are missing.
