A large rug/bedspread (dual purpose). Rectangular in shape, and made of two equal sized pieces [82 cm approx] hand sewn edge to edge along one of the selvedges. The patterning comprises three identical multicoloured bands. A line of identical geometric motifs, worked in tapestry weave, using orange, pink and violet wool yarns, are separated from one another by a green motif of the same shape. These are framed by solid black, yellow and violet bands. This patterning, in turn, is separated by wide, largely weft faced, red bands. (The black warp is visible.) The warp ends are turned and finished with blanket stitch. Black scalloped trim, is worked in crochet around all four sides. The rug/bedspread has quite a soft handle.
