A woman's front apron. Ground made of two unequal sized pieces of maroon tabby woven (warp faced) wool cloth. Larger, upper section covered almost completely with applied black wool lacework (?). Smaller, lower section has a plant motif (bottom right) and an 'L'-shaped block (bottom left); both embroidered in black woollen yarn. Lower section surrounded by a deep border crocheted (?) in black wool yarn. Two black ties made of plied wool.
