Description
Pottery: red-figured kylix.
Interior: Within thin red circle, Eros wearing fillet, holding pomegranate fruit in right, raising left with palm outwards, flies to right in horizontal position. His legs are bent, the feet resting against the circle: below and above, him KAΛOΣ, καλός (bis).
Exterior: (a) Achilles pursuing Troilos and Polyxena: in the centre of the scene, Achilles (helmet covering face, cuirass with two spirals on breast, short chiton, greaves) rushes to right armed with a spear, and on outstretched left a Boeotian shield (device, a crescent between two rings): part of left arm and shield wanting: in front of him Troilos, in a short chiton and chlamys flying from his shoulders, gallops to right with two horses: in front of him Polyxena in long chiton, hair looped up with a stephane, runs looking back with outstretched arms.
