Description
Pottery askos, Daunian/Messapian fabric, the body roughly imitating the shape of a bird with the mouth in place of a head and the tail, now broken, forming a spout, ring foot, one small arched handle marked with two ridges, circular flaring mouth and a spout at the other end, marked on pale slip on the exterior with brown horizontal bands, parts of a key pattern and a maeander band composed of a lattice pattern in purple, spout now partially broken, worn and chipped in places.
