Description
(Af1971,09.1. a to c) Wood door composed of three separate panels originally fixed together by means of battens nailed across the back. It was hung by means of the pegs at the right. Each panel is carved in relief, and depicts, among other things (from the right) (a) a gun, a snake, a cutlass and a Koran board, (b) two lizards, (c) a hump-backed cow, designs based on embroidery patterns, and two fans. When fitted together the approximate width is 39 inches (99cm). (c) also has an iron flat bar stapled to it which may have been used together with a modern padlock.
