The illustration on page 32 is after Millais, and accompanies the poem “A Wife” by “A.” The illustration on page 531 is after Leech, is captioned: “The favourite in the paddock”, and accompanies the article “The Derby Day”, by “Gamma”. The illustrations are variously signed: “Swain” and “Dalziel”. Robin de Beaumont’s notes about this volume are on the front endpaper verso.
