Bernard de Montfaucon, "A Collection of Regal and Ecclesiastical Antiquities of France, in Upwards of Three Hundred large Folio Copper Plates [...] Now printed with an Historical Explanation of the several Plates in English," volume I (London, W. Innys, J. & P. Knapton, R. Manby, and H. S. Cox). 1750; containing an engraved frontispiece depicting Louis Quinze by C. Mathey and 154 engraved plates numbered I to CLIV, illustrating contemporary portraits of the French royal family and officers of state taken from ancient monuments, paintings etc.
