Mahogany cased, quarter-chiming mantel clock.
Mahogany veneered plywood case. The arched rectangular central section is flanked by stepped chamfered rhomboidal wings with solid mahogany panels and with a matted triangular front. The solid mahogany base has a thinner sound-enhancing soft-wood board to which the chime-rod assemby is fixed. Hinged,chromium-plated, glazed front bezel. Stained and varnished plywood door at the back.
Arch topped, silvered-brass dial with an applied silvered-brass chapter ring with an outer circle for minutes surrounding hours I-XII. Winding holes at III/IIII, VI and VII/VIII. a chime/silent lever at III. Blued-steel spade-pattern hour and minute hands.
