Description
A broadside on the mysterious murder of Sir Edmund Berry Godfrey in 1678, claiming that his death is linked to his refusal to support Titus Oates's 'Popish Plot'; with an engraving showing in the top centre an oval portrait of Godfrey, underneath this an image of King Charles II, on the left four portraits, the first of Titus Oates, and on the left and R scenes illustrating the plot and murder of Godfrey; with engraved inscriptions, and numbering 1-12, and with letterpress title and text, including references to the images.
