Description
Shot pouch, of unsmoked moosekin [?] of rectangular shape, with rounded ends, front panel lower than the back, to provide access; top edge decorated with red stroud cloth. The two pieces are sewn together with sinew, through strips of blue and red stroud cloth. The opening is decorated with a broad band of loomwoven quillwork, with two repeated designs of triangles: red, blue, brown and pink. Sides of the strip are sewn with blue quills, and bottom edge finished in tabs wound with coloured quills and bunches of two ply 'S' twist red wool. At bottom of the pouch are two holes where a label, now disassociated, was once pinned.
