Salt; porcelain; paste of drab appearance; comprising three scallop-shells on rocky, shell-encrusted base; interiors enamelled in colours, and painted with flower sprays in tones of puce, red, green, yellow and blue; undersides decorated with sprigs in same colours; interior rims bordered with narrow puce line, and the three shells united above by thick ridges of 'coral' enamelled in puce, a strand of which trails into one of the scallops; 'coral' surmounted by series of shell and 'coral' twigs; underside unglazed; one shell broken and repaired.
