Sugar Bowl, Cover and Stand (sucrier de Monsieur le Premier); soft-paste porcelain; moulded lobed stand to which is fixed the moulded oval bowl, which has a domed, shaped cover with oval button knop; decorated with a border design of turquoise (bleu céleste) enclosing sprays of flowers suspended from yellow or purple ribbons (stylised pink roses), growing from the ground (cornflowers) or in blue vases (pink roses or purple flowers); turquoise border also ornamented with gilt swags and other gilt motifs; maker's mark.
