Gilt lead alloy pilgrim ampulla. The flat vessel is tear-drop shaped, with narrow neck and two suspensory loops. One side is embossed with the standing figure of the Virgin in a ship with a model of a church in her right hand. The reverse shows the Virgin and Child, both nimbed, receiving supplication from a kneeling figure. An inscription runs around the outer edge. The ampulla can be associated with other pilgrim souvenirs produced at the shrine to the Virgin in Boulogne-sur-mer.
